8 hour live class. This class will be offered both as a 1 day stand-alone class or as an add-on class for individuals attending the Nov 9-10 class "Hands On Aquatic Therapy for the Ortho/Neuro Therapist" class. Come join 4 ATU instructors as we launch our brand-new ATU training.

This one-day course explores the benefits of aquatic therapy for individuals with neurological impairments and cognitive challenges. The course is designed for rehab, fitness and educational professionals interested in expanding their understanding of how aquatic environments can be leveraged to enhance neurological function and cognitive abilities. Participants will gain insights into the physiological and psychological mechanisms behind aquatic therapy and its applications in enhancing brain function. The course will combine theoretical knowledge with practical, evidence-based techniques that can be applied in clinical settings to improve patient outcomes.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Understand the Physiological Benefits: Describe 3 physiological effects of aquatic therapy on the central nervous system and how these effects contribute to improved neurological function.
