This course focuses on the precautions, indications, and benefits of aquatic therapy in relation to the orthopedic and neurological conditions most commonly treated in water. Participants learn to evaluate and verbalize the difference between functional improvement and patient satisfaction to increase both in executable plans in the short and long term. Students are expected to use science-based literature to evaluate, create, justify, and execute intervention plans for specific conditions. Participants will demonstrate their ability to manipulate the hydrodynamic properties of water to coordinate and progress appropriate sequences for the conditions studied.
